We spent yesterday on Bute, visiting Mount Stuart, which lives up to its Victorian Gothic reputation. The light NW wind today means that we motor up the East Kyle, thread the Burnt Isles and anchor in Caladh Harbour.
A shower as we approach Is quickly replaced by sunshine. We anchor next to an Ocean Youth Trust yawl. Luckily its just there for a short stop as we’re swinging very differently in the small harbour.
Once they leave we move further clear of the fixed moorings. Re-anchoring leads to trouble with R’s back.
It’s still cold, but we’re staying board, so soon light the stove ahead of a peaceful night.
