9 of us meet for breakfast at ‘Off the Rails’, while we wait for the tide to turn. Then people are leaving throughout the morning. The original plan had been to leave Ivy Green here for a mid-week start for Falmouth, but the forecast doesn’t look promising, so we’re heading back to Bursledon. We head off at 12:30, taking the easy route of running downwind under staysail alone. A few others pass us on the way, including Miles in ‘Wakulla Spring’. The trip is uneventful, other than getting the wind the wrong side of the bow as we reverse into our mooring. Plenty of throttle soon produces volunteers to catch our lines.
