We’re up and ready for the first lock down in the morning, with a couple of other yachts. It’s an hour to get down and by 9:30 we’re heading onto Loch Ness, where it’s raining. The wind is blowing straight down the loch, as we had been warned. We’re all glad for a chance to get some sailing and we spend a couple of hours beating up against the rain. No sign of the monster, but we do meet the lifeboat out for its Sunday morning training session.
It’s getting cold and we’re not going to get anywhere specific, so we turn back downwind and back into Fort Augustus for the afternoon and ready to start back in the morning.
The rain clears during the afternoon and there are plenty of ducklings to keep S entertained!
Supper at the Bothy Restaurant, beside a husky.
