It’s a late start this morning. We raise the anchor and sail down towards Falmouth. There’s a little confusion as a nearby yacht keeps trying to close on us, as I try to avoid them. Eventually they identify themselves as Ed Burnett’s parents, trying to say hello from their yacht ‘Cassis’.
We sail up and down the Carrick Roads for a while, trying to keep out of the way of various racing fleets, before heading into Mylor, where we have arranged to leave ‘Ivy Green’ for the week. Packing up off Mylor is a lot simpler than most places, with little wind and tide. It’s busy in the marina and the meal ashore is nothing to get excited about.
We’re off on the train home tomorrow morning, after a most enjoyable couple of weeks aboard.
