The clouds are low this morning and the wind that blew us along the loch yesterday is still there today, so we motor out. Once past Risga we hoist the mainsail in flat water but aren’t able to sail until we’re back to Auliston Point.
There we bear away and it soon becomes another straight downwind run down the Sound of Mull.
We wait for the ferry to pass at the entrance to Loch Aline and head in. There’s plenty of space on the pontoons, also plenty of visitors moorings. We see seals in the middle of the loch.
Smoked trout from Tobermory and salmon on board for supper.
Talking to our neighbours on ‘Copepod’, L eventually recognises them from Port Edgar.
