We go ashore for a walk around Dittisham. In the process discovering that last night’s rowing against the tide was too much for our inflatable’s plastic rowlocks. So we get the water taxi. Returning to the boat we see ‘Malfi’ rafting back alongside us. This time we leave immediately afterwards. It’s back to the ‘DC pontoon, with the fleet, in the rain. Coffee on board for various visitors, with a range of theories for getting to Plymouth tomorrow. Paul from ‘Minx’ sticks his head in and suggests 03:30 is the time to set off!

Then it’s odd jobs ashore before the group reconvene at the Dartmouth Yacht Club. There are still plenty of opinions about, but the early morning departure makes sense and a consensus starts to form. It gets the tide around Start Point and hopefully beats the worst of the rain. Supper at DYC and an early night.
