It’s a quiet morning on board, before an afternoon race. We collect Mary and Marion from their boats as we head out. Then it’s another light wind race, against the tide. It takes several tacks to clear the start line in the first group (some others never make it). Then slow progress towards the first mark, with the course being shortened again to a simple loop back to the start. It’s clear from the start that it’s ‘Pippin’s ‘ day, even after they have to sail an extra leg after missing the first mark on the first attempt.
With stronger Easterlies forecast overnight, we make sure that we have a buoy to ourselves.
Collected by Don in his launch for rally supper at Helford River Sailing Club.
