The drizzle is still about first thing, but there’s a hint of sunshine coming through. With strong winds forecast for the weekend and rain for net week, we decide abandon plans to go further out. We’ll stay in sheltered waters and head for Ardfern, ahead of the stronger winds.
It’s almost calm as we head back into the Sound of Mull, so it’s a day motoring straight back down. The sun is breaking through as we get to Puilladobhrain. There are a couple of other boats already there, but plenty of space. We inflate the dinghy and head ashore, where R’s boot disintegrates. L carries on for a walk, while R heads back aboard.
Spectacular sunset in contrast to the grey start to the day.
