There’s almost no wind as we head down the Carrick Roads. It looks like we’ll be motoring.
We see a few dolphins as we approach Dodman Point. As we approach Fowey a few boats emerge racing in light wind, as part of Fowey Classics regatta.
We pick up a mooring, trying to find one with more space. We seen to have ended up at the confluence of two tidal streams and are lying at a different angle to all our neighbours, despite the lack of wind. Eventually we bring the bowsprit in to simplify matters.
Then it’s ashore for showers and an early supper. The ‘Galleon Inn’s’ seafood platter is enormous. We watch the Troys drifting round their course again, then head for Royal Fowey Yacht Club to watch England’s exit from the World Cup.
